M. FLYNN is a custom fine jewellery business owned by sisters Megan and Moria Flynn. This Boston based company specializes in creating custom made jewellery for their clients. They also provide ready-to-wear accessories for customers who aren’t interested in customization. The ready-to-wear pieces are just as gorgeous as the customized ones.
Megan and Moira have always been interested in jewellery making but, like many of us, they started out in corporate jobs–specifically in the banking and marketing industries. They then pursued further studies in Business and Design which led them to put up M. Flynn. They started out by selling their pieces wholesale to over 80 specialty boutiques in the U.S. Today, they have a flagship store in Boston’s South End and their business is continuously growing.
The M.Flynn flagship store is a testament to what anyone can accomplish–especially when it comes to what they are passionate about. The store features two rooms filled with wall to wall display cases. The first room is in all white and it features the more casual accessories. The second room is the chic pink room that features the more dressy pieces. The decor of the store is simply stunning, without drawing attention away from the products. I especially love this pink wall bedazzled with big rhinestones.
I am deeply inspired by these types of stories–especially about women entrepreneurs. It is a beautiful reminder that you can do whatever you want to do, in whatever way you would like to. Whether you dream of being the top broker of your firm or owning a successful business, the lesson remains the same–you start small and do everything you possibly can to make your dreams flourish. It not even about overnight success, it’s about being more successful than you were yesterday.
