THE BEST OF DOMINIQUE ANSEL

April 3, 2016

Have you ever wondered where the Cronut really came from? It’s what happens when a croissant and a donut get married and have babies. This world famous pastry has the shape and taste of a donut with the flaky texture and buttery taste of a croissant. This decadent pastry was created by Dominique Ansel in his New York Bakery.

The downside to wanting the original world renowned Cronut from one of the top bakery’s in New York is the competition. You are basically racing against the rest of the city to get your hands on this delicious pastry before it runs out. I tried to get one for myself so many times but I failed every single time–it’s forever sold out. I have yet to try Ansel’s Cronut but, for now, the rest of his pastries will do.

At the bakery, the first thing I noticed were the display cases. The products were thoughtfully arranged to create a lovely set-up. For me, brands that give special attention to their packaging and product displays are a different level of awesome in my book. These branding details, although minor to some, portray just how much the brand values it’s identity and it’s customers.

The Dominique Ansel Bakery serves both sweet and savory dishes. Every single dish I tried was not only delicious and cooked well but the presentation was perfect–their attention to detail is spot on.
