Summer is finally here! It’s that one time of the year when it gets even hotter than it already is in this tropical country. It’s not that I’m complaining or anything, It’s just one of those things in life that you just accept as a reality. On the bright side, Summer is also a really laid-back type of season so it’s the perfect time to wear comfy outfits and go on infinite adventures.

Back when I was a student, I would be so excited for the summer mainly because there would be no school at all (unless you take summer class or you just choose to hang around campus) and I could just stay home and do whatever I wanted to do. Nowadays, I see the season differently. I no longer stay home like the bum that I was. I plan all sorts of trips and activities now–I go out of town (even for just a day), I do staycations, and I try out new things. There’s a whole new world out there and it’s up to us to get of our asses and discover it for ourselves. Trust me, it’s the only way to really grow up and figure things out. You don’t even have to go as far as a different country, you can find perfectly good vacation spots near you–you just need to know where to look.
When it comes to dressing up for boiling hot temperatures, remember to wear something sleeveless, thin, short, comfy, and resilient. Anything sleeveless is a must to survive in hot weather and to avoid those awful armpit sweat stains (just remember to handle your armpit hair situation). Wearing clothes made out of thin and breathable fabric is the best way to stay cool. Clothes that are not floor-length (like shorts, short skirts, etc.) will also help you stay cool. Comfort always comes first so never buy anything you don’t look and feel comfortable in. Lastly, always invest in resilient pieces–these are the pieces that are easy to take care of (the one’s that don’t need to be ironed or dry-cleaned). Keep this in mind when deciding on your Summer wardrobe and you will surely have a carefree and memorable Summer time!
