Have you ever heard the saying “Life is short, eat dessert first”? This is my favorite (food) quote of all time! My whole life is based on this quote (just kidding! Or am I?). Seriously though, I not only eat dessert first but I even take it as far as devouring a whole meal of purely delectable desserts in one sitting. I feel incomplete without dessert, that’s how much I love it. So imagine the level of happiness I felt when I first set foot at NIC’S–I was in dessert heaven! All my favorite desserts (and so much more) in one room, just waiting to be devoured.
NIC’S is the brainchild of Maggie and Rina. What started out as a commissary for baked goods has grown into a full fledged restaurant. Every dish I tried was amazing! I highly recommend the Apple Pie Quezo de Bola,Peach Wallnut Pie, and Meat Lasagna.
Apple Pie Quezo de Bola
A traditional apple pie with a Filipino twist.
Oreo Cheesecake
A bigger, richer, and creamier version of an Oreo cookie.
Molten Lava Cake
A moist chocolate cake with luscious chocolate fudge in the middle.
Red Velvet Cake
A decadent red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting topped with white chocolate.
Shrimp & Roasted Corn Chowder
A delicious blend of seafood and vegetable flavors.
Spicy Tuna, Mushrooms, and Capers Pasta
A balanced spicy and salty dish.
Sirloin Tapa
One of the best renditions of one of my favorite local dishes.
Porcini Meatballs Pasta
The big meatballs are seared beautifully on the outside and moist on the inside.
Meat Lasagna
The best mix of cheese and meat overload on a plate.
Chicken Parmigiana
Tender chicken fillet topped with a lovely tomato sauce.
Peach Wallnut Pie
If Sans Rival and Pie got married, this would be their baby.
