CREAM SILK TRANSFORMATIONS

March 6, 2016

Coleen Garcia, Nadine Lustre, Heart Evangelista, Rachel Ann Go, and Yasi Presman revealed as the cover girls at the Cream Silk Transformations event.

One of my #CreamSilkTransformations in 2016 is to constantly strive to be a better version of myself. As cliche as it sounds, this is my personal goal every single day. Always remember to never stop striving for greatness–this is exactly what the newest Cream Silk campaign is all about. The campaign was formally launched during a whole day event at the World Trade Center featuring live cover shoots of the country’s top magazines, Cosmopolitan, Meg, MEGA, Metro, Preview, and Yes! with the new roster of Cream Silk Modern Filipinas, Heart Evangelista, Nadine Lustre, Coleen Garcia, Julie Anne Sane Jose, Rachel Ann Go, and Yassi Pressman.

The Cream Silk Transformations: Spotlight on the #ModernFilipina campaign is all about inspiring and empowering others to experience their own transformations. Cream Silk is known for helping women go beyond beautiful, this year, the brand champions Modern Filipinas, who strive to become the best versions of themselves, in their journeys of transformation.

The event celebrated women, who have constantly challenged themselves to transform from good to great. It featured various activities that aim to empower the event attendees and equip them with everything they need as they kick off their own transformations.

“Gone are the days of the Maria Clara, as women are slowly climbing up the ranks and embracing bigger and better roles for themeselves. Today, the modern Filipina has become both a spotlight and a beacon. She has evolved into a fearless and trailblazing individual determined to realize her dreams and make a positive mark in the world.” -Gina Lorenzana, Uniliver’s VP for Personal Care

To celebrate the Modern Filipina, each top glossy hosted workshops and talks featuring the country’s top industry experts in the fields of fashion, entertainment, and beauty.

Each activity featured various types of transformation, from beauty and fashion makeovers to unleashing one’s inner potential. Through the event activities, attendees were empowered and equipped with everything they need to transform into Modern Filipinas.

Hairstylists giving event goers new hairstyles

At the Cream Silk lounge, event attendees completed their experience through hair transformations. To demonstrate that only Cream Silk can transform any problem to beyond beautiful hair, experts assessed the attendees’ hair needs, as well as the best styles to highlight their assets. The attendees then had their hair done in their style of choice to experience their very own Cream Silk transformation.

To complete everyone’s Cream Silk transformation, various photography booths were set up for the attendees to document their experience–like this studio set up by renowned photographer, Sara Black.

As a fitting grand finale, the audience was treated to the first ever live cover shoot experience to unveil the new roster of Cream Silk Modern Filipinas. The cover girls of the publications’ March issues were styled and photographed on stage, in front of all the event attendees.

Out of all the covers, my favorite is definitely the Preview magazine one featuring the stunning Coleen Garcia. Everything, from the styling to the modeling, was simply superb.

The big reveal of Pia Wurtzbach

The live cover shoots were amazing but the event surprises did not stop there. Cream Silk also welcomed home Pia Wurtzbach, on her first Philippine appearance as Ms. Universe.
