For years, I’ve been very secretive about my tricks of the trade when it comes to bargain shopping. I guess I always thought that the more people knew about them, the less chances I’d have to get the best deals possible. Recently, I’ve let go of that way of thinking and I’ve decided to slowly reveal all my shopping secrets so everyone can enjoy the benefits of bargain shopping for themselves. I’m kicking off this new blog series with my go-to shopping place for one of my favorite brands—Aldo. When the Suyen Corporation brought this lovely brand to the Philippines, I fell in love with it instantly. The price though wasn’t as pretty as the products so I would only buy sale items before I randomly discovered the wonders of the Aldo Liquidation store.
Tucked away on the 1st floor of the Solenad 2 in Nuvali, Aldo liquidation is the outlet store for Aldo and Call It Spring. Basically, all of the unsold products from both brands end up in this store with a significant price drop. Imagine the mall sale prices for these products then make it even lower—that’s how cheap it is. The outlet not only carries men’s and women’s shoes but bags, jewelry, and even swimwear too. Everything is brand new but they’re all products from past seasons and the stock is very limited. Personally, I don’t care about being on trend so buying last season’s releases doesn’t bother me at all—I just get what I like and that’s that. Lastly, I know the location is not at all ideal but, for me, the trip is worth it to end up in a store that is forever on sale. For the brand conscious fashionistas out there, buying from this store will definitely save you tons of cash. On my last trip to Nuvali, I got a bikini set, stylish shades, layered necklace, and two pairs of dangling earrings. I bought all 6 items for just Php 1,098.00!
This gorgeous bikini set was originally priced at Php 1,500.00 but I was able to buy it at the discounted price of Php 700.00. Now that is a cheap price for a brand new Aldo branded bikini set. It’s even cheaper than buying from those random Instagram account sellers. I love the geometric cut-out pattern, the gold accents, and the black on nude pairing—it’s simply divine.
All of the accessories were buy 1 take 1 for Php 199.00 which is how I ended up with 4 different pieces—a necklace, a pair of shades, and two pairs of earrings. I would’ve gotten more but I set a budget for myself (which I went over, just by a little bit). I absolutely love the shades. It’s edgy but, at the same time, has a luxe feel to it. The simple layered necklace is so classy and easy to wear with any type of outfit. The dangling earrings are simple but bold pieces that go perfectly with sleeked back hair. What do you think of my new haul from the Aldo liquidation store? I actually went there to get new pairs of shoes but the one’s I wanted were out of stock in my size—so sad, but it happens. One of the things you have to accept about bargain shopping is that to get things at low prices you need patience and a whole lot of luck. It also helps to hope that the fashion gods are guiding you to the affordable pieces that are meant to be for you (I’m just kidding! or am I?).
Looking at everything I got, would you think it all cost me a little over a Php 1,000.00? It’s actually a pretty good deal that even I was pleasantly surprised by. Check out this outlet for yourself and experience the awesomeness of bargain shopping in Nuvali!
